GOOD NATURE STATION 6th Anniversary Exhibition and Event "Woven with you"
Period: November 26, 2025 (Wed) - January 12, 2026 (Mon, national holiday) 10:00-20:00
Location: GOOD NATURE STATION 4F GALLERY
Admission fee: Free

To coincide with "GOOD NATURE CHRISTMAS," we are holding a special exhibition and event, "Woven with You - Weaving Circulating Connections," to commemorate our sixth anniversary. During the event, we are running three programs that allow you to experience the "circulating connections" between our museum and you.
The theme of this project is "gratitude" to all those who sympathize with and collaborate with the museum's sustainable actions, and it will also feature a participatory donation program that anyone can enjoy while contributing to society.

■Message tree "Wish&Write"
This is a participatory project where participants can decorate a wooden tree with cards bearing their wishes and messages. The wooden tree is made partly from recycled materials from a rocking chair that was used in the hotel's courtyard, and guests will decorate the tree with their message cards. Depending on the number of cards collected, donations will be made to Kyoto Kyoto Gardens to be used as writing materials for children's Shop held there.

With the motto "Your words will become the pen that paints someone's future," we propose ways in which ideas can be connected to society.

■ "Kurukuru Christmas" (Reuse project in collaboration with Kamikatsu Town, Tokushima Prefecture)
The reuse project "Kurukuru," which originated at the Zero Waste Center "WHY" in Kamikatsu Town, Tokushima Prefecture, will be held in the Gallery on the fourth floor. "WHY" is a zero-waste hub that opened in April 2020, where residents bring their own resources to reuse and separate them. The attached accommodation facility, "HOTEL WHY," also offers study tours and waste separation experiences to guests. Our hotel has collaborated with "WHY" on several occasions. For this project, we will collect "unread picture books and children's books" donated by our guests and present them to Kyoto Prefectural Botanical Gardens. We will promote a recycling initiative that will pass on memorable books to the next generation.

The bookshelves that hold the books are made with "Mokuwaku®︎" from "sumao Living Goods Store (Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto City)." "Mokuwaku®︎" is based on the concept of "living in harmony with the forest," and proposes reducing disposable furniture while easily incorporating wood into daily life. It is made at sawmills around Japan that support the protection of forests, and promotes "local production and consumption of wood."

Kyoto 's "Mokuwaku®" is manufactured by HoriMoku Co., Ltd. (Joyo City, Kyoto Prefecture) using cypress and cedar produced in Kyoto.

Furthermore, "Mokuwaku®" is manufactured using "Miyako Somegi*," wood that is harvested and sawn within Kyoto City. Through this project, we will contribute to the healthy development of forests by spreading the word about the importance of "local production and consumption of wood."

* Kyoto City has established a system to certify lumber and plywood made from trees legally harvested within Kyoto 's forests as "Miyako Somaki" and is promoting "local production for local consumption of wood." Kyoto City also operates "Ki to Living Design KYOTO," a platform that connects companies from a wide range of fields with the concept of "designing a new relationship between people and forests that suits modern lifestyles," and supports the creation of new wooden products and disseminates information on forests and wood usage. "sumao Living General Store" and "HoriMoku Co., Ltd." are also partners of Ki to Living Design KYOTO.

■Panel exhibition "Woven with you"
The hotel's representative brands, NEMOHAMO, RAU, Market, Restaurant and Hotel, will look back on the six years they have spent together with the people connected to the facility and express their gratitude for the experiences they have had in their daily lives.

The calligraphy title was written by popular author Risa Kadono.
In addition, Mr. Kadono also designed the ornaments for the Christmas tree that will be on display in the courtyard until December 25th.
