◎KUKU | Fukuda Construction Co., Ltd.
Fukuda Construction, the parent company of KUKU, has been involved in wooden construction for generations in Tango, Kyoto.
We are also a somewhat unusual construction company that has stockpiled a large amount of lumber for building houses.
KUKU is an old name for trees.
The grain, scent, color, texture... no two trees are the same.
Each tree has its own unique character and has been resting in the lumber warehouse for decades or even centuries.
Many of the pieces are still in a rough state, in the form of logs or boards, but they convey the charm and vitality of the solid wood material.
As a construction company, we propose the richness of living with wood through "space," "furniture," and "woodwork."
★ KUKU original cutting boards (four types including oak and walnut) are on sale at the GALLERY venue.
