GOOD NATURE STATION, which has the concept of "Let's enjoy more things that are good for the mind and body," promotes sustainable product development and facility management.
Meanwhile, Kameoka City has been introducing a series of cutting-edge environmental policies, including the "Kameoka Plastic Waste Zero Declaration" in 2018 and, starting in 2021, the "Ban on the Provision of Plastic Shopping Bags," which will be the first in the country to do so.
This exhibition was made possible by the shared desire of both parties to place great importance on environmental consideration and to spread the message of realizing a sustainable society from Kyoto.

-Exhibition content: Experience Kameoka City's sustainable initiatives

This exhibition uses panels and Products to clearly introduce the environmental initiatives that Kameoka City has undertaken up until now, and will undertake in the future.

Enactment of Japan's first ordinance and the path to "zero plastic waste"
We will introduce the strong steps the city is taking to reduce disposable plastic waste, including the "ban on plastic shopping bags," which was enacted ahead of the rest of the country. We will also report on the city's joint efforts with residents and businesses.

● "HOZUBAG" is a sustainable brand born from upcycling
HOZUBAG is a brand that transforms the fabric of retired paragliders into durable, colorful bags. You can actually touch and see Products, each with its own unique design and story. Experience the idea of upcycling, which breathes new value and life into things that would otherwise be trash.

● Aiming to promote organic agriculture that is friendly to people and the environment
This program introduces the organic farming initiatives being promoted by Kameoka City, and conveys the city's commitment not only to reducing the burden on the environment, but also to providing safe and secure food for the children of the future.

- About Kameoka City
Located next to Kyoto City, it is conveniently located just 20 minutes by express train from JR Kyoto Station, yet is a garden city surrounded by lush greenery. It is also known as the "Town of Fog," and the "Tamba Fog" that occurs from autumn to spring creates a fantastic landscape. The number of people moving here who are raising children is also increasing, making it a lively town where tradition and innovation coexist.

In addition to its pioneering efforts as an "environmentally advanced city," such as the enactment of the first ordinance in the country banning plastic bags, the city is promoting sports and exchanges centered around "Sanga Stadium by KYOCERA," promoting organic farming based on the "Organic Village Declaration," branding the rare "Kameoka Beef," and hosting the year-round art project "Kameoka Fog Art Festival." The city is also working to develop a diverse and attractive town. In the fall of 2026, the "43rd National Urban Greening Fair" is scheduled to be held.
