[Ikehan × Hyssop]
A relaxing moment with Chinese tea ~Savoring summer~
A breathtaking view in the midst of everyday life.
On June 14th, as the first hints of summer begin to emerge amidst the rainy season, we will be holding a relaxed tea gathering. No prior knowledge or experience is necessary. There are no dress code requirements or items to bring. This is a gathering for tea lovers, of course, but also for those who are interested in Chinese or Taiwanese tea but haven't had the chance to try it yet. We would be delighted if you could join us for a moment that evokes the feeling of spring.
Contents
■ Tasting comparison of three types of tea
We will provide three types of tea, including oolong tea and white tea. This tea ceremony will be based on the simple idea of "delicious" and "fun," as we compare the aromas and aftertastes of the teas.
■ Hyssop Special Seasonal Sweets
The sweets are original creations specially made by Hyssop, the restaurant adjacent to the Shop tables at the venue, to complement the tea served that day. Enjoy this summery combination where the tea and sweets enhance each other's flavors.
■ Feel free to come even if it's your first time.
There's no need to learn the proper etiquette. Just sit back and enjoy the aroma of tea and the signs of spring. We aim to provide a warm and relaxing experience that even first-time visitors can easily get into.

PROFILE
Ikehan
Ikehan is a "tea space for enjoying tea" located in Kamogawa Gojo. It has a "tea room/tea art room" where you can quietly contemplate tea by reservation only, as well as a "detached room" that you can casually visit. In both locations, you can taste a variety of tea leaves from Japan, Taiwan, and China using a teapot and teacup. We offer a quiet time so that you can leisurely savor the profound depth of tea, such as the unique aromas of each region and the lingering aftertaste that changes with each brew.
Kei Kojima

Born in Tokyo and raised in Shizuoka. He lived in Taiwan for five years, where he came into contact with the charm of tea through his experiences in local tea culture and tea houses. He currently serves as the head tea master at Ikehan in Kamogawa Gojo, where he is responsible for the entire operation of the establishment, from selecting tea leaves to setting up the tables and holding study sessions. He values creating scenery that allows people to take a break from their daily lives through tea.
