 * Message from Saori Kunihiro on this exhibition
I have a poem titled "Reiwa Tanka" I write tanka poems on the theme of modern society.
When I look at social media, I tend to compare myself to others. In a company, the emphasis on diversity can make it difficult to speak your true feelings,

I feel reluctant to put into words the vague feelings I have in my daily life,
If you put it to the rhythm of 5-7-5-7-7, I feel like it creates a certain atmosphere.

Even among the Hyakunin Isshu poems that were written a thousand years ago, there are surprisingly many small everyday things. There are some stories that are based on (sometimes negative) events.
This time, for the solo exhibition at GOOD NATURE STATION, We also incorporated tanka poems on the theme of environmental issues.

"Under the scorching sun, even the cicadas' voices are silent. This is God's commandment, the fate of the earth."

The balance of the four seasons is being disrupted by abnormal weather caused by global warming. This is a poem filled with feelings of anxiety and warning.
There are many other tanka poems on display at the venue. I would really appreciate it if you could read it and empathize with it.
