【金継ぎ（きんつぎ）とは？】

壊れた陶磁器を修復する室町時代からの日本独自の技法で、割れたり欠けたりした器を漆（うるし）で繋ぎ、継ぎ目を金や銀などの粉を蒔いて装飾する伝統技術です。
ワークショップでは、ウルシの木から採れる漆は使用せずかぶれにくく乾く時間の早い合成うるし（塗料）と金粉（真鍮とパールの粉のブレンド）を使用して作るので、はじめての方も安心してご参加いただけます。

【What is Kintsugi?】

“Kintsugi” is a technique unique to Japan that has been used since the Muromachi period (1336-1573) to repair and decorate broken ceramics.
It involves using lacquer (urushi) to join and bond the cracked or chipped pieces of the pottery, and then applying powdered gold, silver, or other metals to decorate the mended seams.
In our workshop, we use synthetic lacquer (a paint that is less likely to cause allergies and dries faster) and a blend of gold powder (brass and pearl powder) instead of lacquer obtained from the urushi tree.
This allows even beginners to participate with confidence.

【ワークショップ内容詳細】

伝統的な日本のやきものの陶片と色鮮やかな天然石を自由に組み合わせて作る金継ぎのSDGsアクセサリー作り体験です。

主に全国各地の窯元から買い取った、割れたり欠けたりしたもう使われない器やカップなどのやきものをこちらで一つ一つ手作業で陶片にして研磨したものをご用意します。
色柄形がそれぞれ異なる唯一無二のアクセサリーパーツとしてお好きなものを選んでいただき、カラフルな天然石と組み合わせて「世界にひとつだけの金継ぎジュエリー」をつくりましょう！

アクセサリーは「ピアス、イヤリング、ブローチ、指輪、ペンダントトップ、帯留め、ポニーフック、ヘアゴム、タイピン、タックピン、カフスリンクス」の中からお好きなものを選べます。
料金は同じですので、当日講師に作りたいものをお伝えください。

This workshop offers an experience of creating Kintsugi SDGs jewelry by freely combining traditional Japanese fragments of pottery with vibrant natural stones.

We prepare the fragments of pottery by handcrafting and polishing them from pottery craftsmen mainly from kilns all over Japan.
Fragmented pieces of cracked or chipped pottery become unique parts, each with their own color, shape and pattern.
You can then combine it with colorful natural stones to create your own “one-of-a-kind Kintsugi jewelry.”

You can choose from a variety of accessories such as earrings, ear studs, brooches, rings, and pendant tops.
Also, please feel free to choose from tie pins, cufflinks, stick pins (lapel pins), and hat pins. 
The cost is the same, so please tell what you want to make to the instructor on the day of the workshop.

講師：engrace 赤沼 奈津香 / Instructor : Natsuka Akanuma

株式会社エングレース 代表取締役／CEO, engrace Inc.
2011年よりハンドメイドアクセサリーの制作を始め、2019年に京都で金継ぎを学んだことをきっかけに「金継ぎジュエリー engrace（エングレース）」としての活動を開始。
日本各地の伝統的なやきもの文化に魅了され、有田焼・唐津焼・萩焼・織部焼・京焼・清水焼など、全国の窯元から廃棄予定の陶片を買い取り、金継ぎと天然石・パールを組み合わせてジュエリーにアップサイクルする作品づくりを行っている。
2024年に発生した能登半島地震では、被災地から届いた割れた九谷焼を用いてジュエリーに生まれ変わらせる復興支援活動を展開。その取り組みは北陸中日新聞や産経新聞にも掲載され、2025年5月には『VOGUE JAPAN』にも紹介。NHK「ほっと関西」にも生出演するなど、多方面から注目を集めている。
現在は、全国の百貨店などでの販売のほか、自社ECサイトを展開。アメリカ、フランス、台湾、香港を中心に海外展開も進めており、海外での催事出展やワークショップも好評を博している。
2024年秋には、京都・伏見稲荷大社の麓にアトリエを構え、訪日外国人向けの体験や地域とつながる創作活動の場としても幅広く展開中。

Natsuka Akanuma is the founder of Kintsugi Jewelry engrace, combining traditional Japanese Kintsugi techniques with gemstones and pearls to create upcycled jewelry from broken pottery. Inspired by Japan’s ceramic heritage, she works with Arita, Karatsu, Hagi, Oribe, and other regional wares.
Following the 2024 Noto Earthquake, she launched a recovery project using damaged Kutani ware, featured in VOGUE JAPAN, Sankei Shimbun, and NHK. Her work is available at department stores across Japan and online, with growing international presence in the U.S., France, Taiwan, and Hong Kong through exhibitions and workshops.
